Hi, I'm Oliver Sturm.

I've always been fascinated by programming languages - ways of making computers understand what it is we want them to do. Of course things move on from that level: application architecture, data access patterns, multi-tier, user interfaces. I've spent the past few years working for DevExpress, a major player in the field of reusable UI components and frameworks.

Around 20 years ago I wrote my first real application in Turbo Pascal for DOS, and since then I've moved on to OS/2, Unix and Linux systems, SQL databases, PHP, Java, Windows and Web programming, .NET... the one thing I've always enjoyed during that time is the variety of topics to learn about and pass on to others. I hope to meet you somewhere!
